This requirement by the ATF is another example how this administration continually makes it harder for law-abiding citizens to possess firearms, said Congressman Ted Poe. Forcing citizens who are lawfully purchasing guns to disclose race and ethnicity with the threat of federal prosecution if they fail to disclose is completely unnecessary. Bottom line, if a law-abiding citizen is lawfully purchasing firearms, race and ethnicity are irrelevant. It is time to stop punishing those who are following the law.

There is a pathological obsession with race and ethnicity in this country. It is leading this country to an untimely extinction.
LOL! Been to the doctor lately? Not sure if you MUST mark it at the docs office but the list is very extensive to the point of absurdity. Pretty soon they’ll have a box to check depending on which state you’re from to declare your
“ethnic” background.

Among the questions about city services, what do you like best, what do you like least, etc. was the one about Race/Ethnicity.
I didn't check any and wrote on the side, "What difference does this make?"
Other than straw purchasers, I just don’t have a problem with law abiding citizens buying guns. Race, ethnicity is moot.
This needs to be turned around on them.
This country has a history (when Democrats have power) of denying minorities their Second Amendment tights.
I think these congressmen will be the “go to” congressmen when it comes time to reform the “actual enumeration” of the US census. Seriously, what part of “actual enumeration” does the government not get?
Information can be powerful. And if it is very personal information, it can easily be used to control and abuse.
