We just saw American Sniper and THAT was one of the flavors I tasted ... Chris was a man other guys could love to be like, and (as portrayed) was a little uncomfortable about what others thought of himself

American Sniper is on my Netflix list. The program for the children of the KIA sounds wonderful. Girls need their dads too.

I come at it from another perspective that sees very little really done for children, I am the mother of a Murdered Child. Our youngest was just 6 when his 16 yr old brother was Ambushed on his way home from school and Beaten to death by a sociopath who wanted the jollies to see what it felt like to kill. We had to keep his world as normal as possible while dealing with the trial phase and 6 parole hearings. There were no guidance councilors, no shrinks that dealt with the issue that are both parental and children issues in these situations 26 yrs ago. Everything was trial and hopefully few errors. He is a well adjusted 33 yr old today. He does not talk about his brother at all.
