ICE Director Sarah Saldana told a subcommittee of the House Budget Committee that a directive from Barack Obama trumps congressionally passed laws. As a law enforcement officer, she has a duty to uphold US immigration law as well as the constitution, which says in no uncertain terms that congress has the sole responsibility to pass laws. Rep Don Young (R) Iowa took exception to her statement and sought to establish that she was actually saying that Obama and not the law decides what he job is

Slavish devotion to the great leader is the primary requirement for any political appointee in this administration. I would be far more shocked if an Obama appointee actually stood up for the Constitution.

ICE Director Sarah Saldana told a House subcommittee that a directive she receives from Barack Obama trumps on-the-books laws duly passed by the US Congress.

This is grounds for immediate disbarment under the US system of law called "clean hands" (a legal term meaning US justice is not metered out to anyone who has committed an offense against the law).

Her bgrnd needs rigorous scrutiny---her immediate past was as US Atty for Texas. That means she answers to the Bar of Texas.

She may also have applied to practice before other jurisdictions....perhaps the USSC.

She is a little late on with that one. The Congressional Republicans have recognized that from the day he occupied the White House forward. The Republican Party was aware of that long before she was.

I know, I know, as some on here have trumpeted, no Republican voted for obamacare. They did not have to. The American voters, in their infinite wisdom gave the Democrat Party majorities in both Houses of Congress. And look what it cost us as a Nation.
