Aye, one less cool fact that was not brought up. Although the actual velocity of the ship relative to a “fixed” point to in space remained virtually unchained, energy was transfered, and with conservation of energy and momentum, doing the sums, indicates just a little bit of energy was exchanged between the ship and the planet, and as a result of this interaction, the planets rotation will slow just a wee little bit

Well depending. You may be right, but it could also be sped up a bit if the pass was on the lead side of it’s path. Have I go that right?
