True enough. Hillary got more votes in primary elections vs. Obama, but, he had the advantage in delegates selected in states which did caucuses instead of primaries.

I was surprised when I learned that. Just considering that the Clintons had been through presidential primaries/caucuses before, and had been successful, it was surprising to me that Hillary and her people just didn’t pay attention to the caucuses. They didn’t organize well for the caucuses. I remember that her people were surprised to learn that the state of Texas had both a primary and a caucus to select convention delegates.

Back in 2008, an acquaintance I know who voted for Hillary to win the primary in Texas scolded another who voted for Obama because Obama’s caucus participants were a bunch of “mean, mean, intimidating bullies! You guys ran the tables and shouted down anyone who wanted Hillary! There were more for Hillary and y’all just hooted and hollered ‘em down!”

Yeah, waiting patiently in line to vote is one thing. The caucuses afterwards are a whole ‘nother kettle of fish!
