Ordinarily I would agree with you, but this isn’t the case and I think Levin is wrong. I couldn’t actually grasp what the argument is. So lets just say we don’t know. I’ve been looking for the actual language of the Senate Resolution, but haven’t found it. At this point, we each need to read the resolution ourselves and not take the word of any talking head. Everybody has an agenda in this game.
The eventual outcome I predict is mutual failure. Obama is agreeing to this resolution because he believes he has an out. That out is probably buried in the Confidential material and will be withheld from Congress under that pretense. The ‘executive agreement’ will be given to Congress where it will languish for support. Meanwhile the media will keep ‘tapping on the aquarium’ we call Congress to keep the news flowing.
Watch Ted Cruz during all this and see how he plays it. Break even, come out with some concessions, or just being flat defeated — this is a master political game and the fact that he’s even present speaks highly of him. He’ll play safe I predict, grumble a bit then try and change the topic.
Oh, this was for entertainment purposes only.
Folded? No, silly—that was the GOP, per usual.
All Barry needs now is the approval of 34 Democrat Senators—when 67 votes (and thus lots of Republicans) is what should be required.
Following the Constitution should be so easy, but our Republican Congress keeps concocting twisted legislation that turns everything on its head, and inevitably empowers 0.
Hannity was all over it earlier today, too.
Thanks much for that Levin link. That’s exactly what I was trying to say ( above posting). Of course, Levin says it better. Please everyone be sure to clicked the Levin linkee. You won’t be disappointed. Then how do we get the Senste to just do its d@@@ job and cut out all this Enable-Obama krap ( on this and a sorts of other important matters) ?
Well, in a number of cases, such as with Mitch McConnell and Lindsey Graham, and Boehner, where the usual suspect are continually re-elected, I agree.
But in 2010 and 2014, the voters did all that they could to sweep out these bums, and no matter how successful an election is, the result is nothing. More of the same.
They have nullified elections having consequences. Their power is entrenched, and as we can see both parties are engaged in this treason, so it doesn’t matter which party we install, we are installing a treasonous people.
There does not appear to be any civil solution.
People are scared of an Article V convention, but Corker and the boys just had their own convention and turned treaty powers upside down, just like that. Sadly, even though I support a Article V convention, I think it will be no more effective than passing gun control laws for criminals to follow.
We are in for very dark days I’m afraid.
Now congress is trying to betray us all, and then after betraying us they will claim they did something for us...
I think Jar Jar Binks being a character in the movie was the worst decision of all.
Well, I don’t want to sound like a conspiracy theorist or anything, but maybe that is the reason for this military operation Jade Helm I’ve been reading about.
I am at a loss for what to do at this point. These are dangerous people, and they are moving very quickly. We are going to be snookered real soon.
The proposal is also unconstitutional in that it attempts to shift most of the Senatorial duty ( and power) ( advise and consent to treaties by 2/3 of those present) to the White House

They can’t implement their New World Order full as the US is soverign and strong.
ISIS is supposedly south of El Paso. The Drug Cartels will take advantage of that. We’re probably going to see a lot of social unrest all over the country.
Etc., et. etc.
I'm sorry, the biggest threat to this country right now is not ISIS but, in fact the people driving the country to the history books of how not to let rulers manipulate laws. Can you imagine the likes of Harry or John getting water-boarded for information as to why they are doing this to the people of the US, or in fact, the world?
Can you imagine this kind of legislation ever making it to either the House or Senate floor with a free press?
When it all ends, I just hope that this once great nation, remembers how and whom, helped facilitated its demise.
U.S. Constitution, Article II, Section 2:He shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur. . . .
The voters didn't do their job and elected and re-elected an America-hating traitor, a crypto islamocommunist enemy of the Republic.
The Senate has the constitutional authority to stop any treaty for which it can muster two-thirds opposition.
As the Congress has abrogated its impeachment power, options are limited.
Why were Boehner and McConnell allowed to remain in positions of power and corruption after the midterm landslide.
Obviously most of the 535 represent a few special interests, not the people.
If that’s the case, Yisrael Hayom’s Washington correspondent did not do his homework. Right wing he may be, but Boaz Bismut doesn’t look too bright at the moment.
