Proverbs 30:11 There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother. 12 There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness. 13 There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up... 15 The horseleach hath two daughters, crying, Give, give . There are three things that are never satisfied, yea, four things say not, It is enough: 16 The grave; and the barren womb; the earth that is not filled with water; and the fire that saith not, It is enough. 17 The eye that mocketh at his father, and despiseth to obey his mother, the ravens of the valley shall pick it out, and the young eagles shall eat it.

How worldly wise and self confident this new generation is in their ways. Never doubting themselves that their denigration of the institution of marriage is justified. Never considering that this institution is absolutely fundamental to the success of nations, families, and individuals. No, they have evolved far beyond their predecessors and know much more than 6000 years of human history could teach!

This current generation is being fattened for the slaughter. Strong two parent households are the single greatest predictor of wealth. Yet this generation is choosing "Europe" over faith. There is no greater way to dishonor your parents than to forgo marriage and kill family name. As a result, there will be no end to the amount of government handouts needed by this self confident, self righteous generation. It will only end in poverty, disease, barren wombs, war, and death. Even now the birds of prey are sharpening their talons. Can you see them?

Revelation 19:17 - And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; 18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.

Spoke to a bunch of Journalism majors? They've already given up on anyone wanting to marry them.

As the days of Noah were, so the coming of the Son of Man will be.

— Matthew 24:37/Luke 17:26
No need to wonder what the antediluvian days were like.

Marriage is over and done with! All that will be left of that is the state extracting payment in “dollars” for any resulting kids. Everyone will go on their own way!

And I would rather be alone, successful and happy than in a relationship...

How very sad. People are likely going to find two out of these three things -- alone, and successful.

The happiness will elude them as they bounce from one travel buddy to the next until they are used up emotionally and sexually. And then you're forty or so with not much to show.

There was an obituary that recently went viral. The woman wrote about being born, blinking, and then facing a terminal illness. In that obit she said her most cherished memories were through her family relationships.

Yes, not all people should marry, but many are actively seeking to avoid marriage simply to have more for themselves, such as traveling Europe. In other times some would refer to this as hedonism.

This isn’t just happening in America, but all over the developed world. And no one has found a way to stop it.

John B. Calhoun had a clear vision of the human future that most have forgotten. The apocolypse won’t come as a war, or climate change, or drama. It will be people voluntarily deciding not to continue the human race.

These kids ( being 21 used to mean that one was an adult; however that hasn't been the case, for many, for decades ) are emotionally stunted and have the maturity level of a 12 year old or younger child.

Parents ( the bride's ) usually pay for the wedding, are they going to pay for this little girl's European tour? Did they also pay for her college degree in egocentrism ?

Paying $20000 for a wedding dress is stupid. She could spend $500-1000 on the dress for her wedding and still go to Europe.

The millenials that I know (friends of my daughters) are getting married in droves. Some have already been divorced.

Recently, I talked about marriage with a group of journalism students from my alma mater, Kent State University. . . I'm OK being single forever. As long as I'm happy.

Big talk. All college kids talk this way. The rub is, "as long as I'm happy."

Once you're out of your early 20s, different things make you happy—it happens first among the women. They're not queens of the universe anymore, and they get practical so fast, it makes your poor male head spin.

Marriage survives because of self-interest—enlightened, wise, far-seeing self-interest. When government doesn't put itself in the way, marriage not only survives, but dominates.
