Actually Rubio shot down a Florida attempt at an AZ SB1070 bill. He did that when he was in the Florida legislature.

That’s the Real Rubio.

He prevented the attempt by grassroots Florida to address the illegal alien problem.

All the FL bills died in committee. I can't find anything about Rubios involvement. Unless by "shot down" you mean he didn't bring the failed bills up for a vote anyway.
