An issue that could dramatically affect the mission of the United States Armed Forces is telling soldiers when it is okay to kiss a girl.
The Air Force is the latest branch to employ the services of Mike Domitrz, a speaker and author known for his May I Kiss You? training session, to teach servicemembers about consent and sexual assault prevention.
On Thursday the Air Force awarded Domitrzs company, the Date Safe Project, $10,000 for three training sessions.
Domitrzs 60 to 90 minute sessions offer a unique combination of humor and dramatic story telling, the Air Force said in an attachment detailing the contract terms.
The May I Kiss You presentation minimizes defensiveness and promotes an open discussion of an often silent topic, the Air Force said.
Each May I Kiss You? session covers three major areas: asking before a person engages in intimacy with their partner, how to intervene if they see alcohol used to facilitate sexual assault, and how to support a survivor should they confide in the audience member that they have been affected by a sexual assault.

Sounds positively homophobic. In before queer protests.
How dare you,Colonel, tell *me* who I can't kiss!
When I was going off to BCT I was warned not to drop the soap.I did drop it once or twice but had no trouble. That either means that I wasn't as cue as I thought I was...or that I wasn't surrounded by perverts.I think it was the latter because I was *damn* cute ;-)
I think the advice I got would be far more useful today than it was in 1969.
This is what our military is learning these days. Just makes me wonder about our true military readiness.
I wasn’t as cue = I wasn’t as cute
This sounds like something that would get giggles in a junior high health class.
the Date Safe Project, $10,000
More waste.
Any chance that Vlad, the Chinese, the North Koreans or the Iranians know about this????
Exactly. Next up - classes on how to correctly use condoms. SMH
God almighty. This is what the military has become.
They have to do something in the wake of the active duty suicide rate. They want to address the issue with political correctness. Trying to use a child-like phrase with training to blur the problem of homosexual rape makes the Pentagon feel like they’re doing something. I don’t think they care about troop readiness.
Their idea about things like this is to institute their own sensitivity training. It only consists of informing troops to try not to step on their own wounded if they can avoid it.
I wonder if the Russian military has a similar program. Or ISIS.
Condoms are an old commodity for the military.
Sexual assault of any kind is & has always been primarily about asserting *Power* over another, in militarty capacity or not.
“May I kiss you?”, says the homosexual superior officer to his subordinate. Sick.
