The bishop, Rev. Paul Bootkosk, conspicuously quivered, waffled, misspoke and then misspoke about his misspokenness.
I half suspect they'll find another opportunity to fire her after the brouhaha settles down.
But as it is, it's a victory for virtue. We HAVE to stand up and defend the intended victims, each and every time the Gay Mafia mobilizes to destroy normal decent people.
Lepanto Institute, we thank you.
Mrs. Jannuzzi, we salute you.
I gotta ask, is the bishop a butthurt homo lashing out at her in a seething rage due to a perceived personal sleight?
Because that is how he comes across to me.
So she was politically opining based on the traditional beliefs of her church in a school that her church runs, and her church kicks her out for it? Because the ungodly made a stink?
Bock bock bock bock. That bishop is chicken. Maybe if he does not straighten up he should get the Boot-kowski, so to speak.
The ones who fired her should be fired
It’s nice to have some good news for a change these days.
"We'll forgive her just this once."
I agree with others. The bishop and the director should both be fired.
Who the hell is this Bootkowski, and why in the world is he a Catholic Bishop?
Why do things like this happen in a church when someone who is employed by the church defends its teachings on sexuality?
I’m reminded of the corporate pressure that forced politicians to back down recently on freedom of religion for those who disagree with gay marriage.
Is the Roman Catholic Church and or many of its subdivisions or institutions dependent on business money to help sustain them causing reluctance to have its clergy or lay teachers etc. express traditional views on sexuality?
What would her suspension have been had she used FACEBOOK to argue in favor of same sex marriage? Nothing, of course.
Suspended for political beliefs. It’s come to that.
Which team does the bishop play for? (Although he shouldn’t be actively playing for either team). Might have been fun to depose him about his personal life and dig through personnel records.
Nations and societies are similar to people with regard to adulthood and maturity and I'll be happier when our country figures itself out and gets beyond this experimentation phase.
Unfortunately, people can rationalize ANYTHING, good or bad, and frequently have to hit the bottom hard (no double entendre intended) before their attitude is adjusted back to the reality channel and away from their passion/fantasy/addiction/desire/whatever of the moment.
As such, people often rationalize away and ignore all of the negative feedback their actions generate, which then virtually guarantees an escalation in severity of the eventual consequences, as well as the negative feedback on the way there.
To all things a season and I wonder how much time is left on our cosmic clock for US to figure ourselves out before the hammer falls.
