You posted in comment #14 before I got here.
“...and you posted we can now buy a Volt for $20K after rebates and credits.”
I'll remind you of what I said, with added emphasis:
“New Volts are being sold for $30,000 and qualify for around $10,000 in rebates, depending on where you live. So you can basically get a new Volt for $20,000.”
WA and OR don't offer state rebates, so residents would be limited to the $7,500 federal rebate. In California, where at least 40% of EVs are sold, there is a $2,500 EV credit. Here in Texas we have a $2,500 credit, Colorado has a $6,000 credit, and Georgia's recently-killed $5,000 credit is good for another three months. These are just a few; to get details on any particular state look here. On that same page you can also see that many states also offer big subsidies for the purchase and installation of garage chargers. Not that you really need one; most Chevy Volt owners just charge overnight with a household plug.
“Your posts on this subject are not just that the glass is half full but that its overflowing with the love for EVs.
Again, have you donated? :)”
Do you ask that of everyone or just people you disagree with? Is that accepted practice at FR?
When people push and promote vehicles or businesses that financially benefit Obama and the DNC on a conservative website, it tends to draw....questions.
I did not ping you, you pinged me and that is the point I made about you, you're over the top.

I'm fully aware of that but you make broad statements with a small qualifier. You're posting on a forum that covers the entire country buddy and people in the country that don't live in TX could care less.

In over nine years you're the first person I've ever asked that of. I've disagreed with many people but you're using this forum to promote a liberal program of subsidies and misrepresenting facts. If you're going to make statements about credits or prices be specific, you're not posting to people that just live in TX or CO.
Your posts remind me of the Shamwa man, copy and paste is good enough for you.
You should at least support the site you're using for some of your BS.
