Can’t afford their driver’s license? How do they pay for the car, repairs, tires, gasoline, and insurance? How many of them own cellphones? Can they defer their next tattoo until after they pay for renewing their driver’s license? Inquiring minds want to know.
Just more of the never ending push for more socialism.
You might want to read the article about the lady working as a bus driver, who moved, and didn’t notify the DMV within the 10 day period. Got a $25 ticket. Contacted the DMV and took care of the problem. Didn’t realize she still owed the $25.
Then without her knowing it, her license was suspended, she lost her job, and she and her kids are now on welfare.
The $25 ticket has now ballooned to over $2900. How’s she going to pay that on welfare, get her license back, and be able to go back to work?
Wouldn’t it be cheaper for the state to let her pay the $25, waive the rest and get her off welfare?
I've heard that as far as insurance goes, they buy it long enough to bring their proof of it into the DMV, get the license, then cancel the insurance.
