Huh. Didn't realize that the Rangers had such an easy PT test. I'm almost 70 and I could still pass those requirements.

While I was still on active duty, the Marine Corps Physical Fitness test minimums were three pullups, 80 situps in two minutes and a three mile run under 28 minutes. Maxing the test was 20 pullups in 2 minutes, the 80 situps in two minutes and the three mile run 18 minutes or under.

It's ignorant and shameful to equate passing a simple physical test standard with combat. Combat requires killing people, living in horrible conditions and carrying a huge load of ammunition, water, and body armor while doing it. It is ridiculous to expect that women will be anything but a dangerous distraction to fighting men.

They RIs stop you when you meet the minimum requirement. There are so many people there, it’s crazy how long it takes to do the APFT for everyone.
