Some private water wells on the Range above CO Springs have gone dry. Reservoirs might go dry, if the drought continues. Not much snowpack on the peaks. The runoff came very early and has already come and gone. Looks like a very dry summer ahead.

People are moving out because of the economy (foreclosures), drought, etc. Many businesses in tiny towns (far apart from each other) on the Range above the Springs have closed. This area was very sparsely populated anyway--probably more mountain lions and bears (in the huge forests) on this wide open space than people. Not many cattle, either. Grazing has been poor, and hay, very expensive. There are concerns about the last of the grazing leases being discontinued with resulting higher taxes.

What America needs is to produce things once again.

Bring back manufacturing, from the Peoples Republic of China.

Just saying. 342 billion dollars in national trade deficit just last year.
