I don’t like Jeb at all, but what does he possibly gain by lying on this form? If he got something out of it, I might think he lied. Since I don’t see any possible advantage for him, I’m inclined to think it was a mistake.
With all of his amnesty talk, he must have forgotten that he isn’t an illegal.
I can tell you what it does. It skews the demographics. The more people mark Hispanic on the form the more the politicians cater to them.

I wholeheartedly agree with you. I am not a fan either, but I don’t see his gain here. I’m guessing that his wife filled the form out and he just signed it....
Still, “stay out da bushes!”
It was no mistake, it was calculated to send the message that he is pro-amnesty, pro-illegal even though he will be denying it or ignoring it.
Long time politicians like him don’t make these types of mistakes and their staff would not allow the mistake to happen.
No mistake at all.
The more minorities, the more money. One or two people checking the wrong box won’t make a difference but sign up a 1000 homeless “Hispanic” dudes and your district just got a few government grants and upped the anti on redistricting lines.
Women who marry Hispanics can claim to be Hispanic....why can’t men?
