Saudi-led air strikes have failed to reverse the rebels' momentum
Houthi militia inched closer Sunday to capturing the port city of Aden, where Saudi-backed forces loyal to Yemeni President Abdel Rabbo Mansour Hadi continue to hold out.
The Shiite rebels unleashed artillery barrages on residential areas in the city and targeted a pro-Hadi television station with mortar rounds, forcing it off the air, reports AFP.
There are bodies in the streets, and we cant get close because there are Houthi snipers on the rooftops. Anything that gets near, they shoot at, an unidentified medic told Reuters.
Houthi militants continue to consolidate control over large swaths of Yemen, despite 11 days of air strikes from a Saudi-led coalition of Gulf Arab states.
The Houthi assault on one of President Hadis last remaining strongholds comes as more than a hundred members of a Sunni Islamist political party were rounded up by Shiite militiamen on Sunday.

Hey, wait! It says that the rebels are attacking residential areas. They are not supposed to do that, are they?
No matter how they do it this is going to be drawn out...and just wait til Saudi starts getting all the refugees from Yemen!...at the same time covering their north...and fight in Yemen itself...
Going to get more then bloody I think.

.....”How are we supposed to live without food & water?” ...Aden resident asks as aid delivery delayed”....
How much discomfort before people realize they need to leave a war area, town and or country if necessary....?????

If the newly-formed Arab Coalition has the resolve, the Houthis will be defeated. Yemeni air-force implements consisted of a few Mig 29’s, coalition already owns the air over Yemen.
Ground forces required to go door-to-door to eradicate rebels. Egypt plays big role here. Mobilizing, last I heard. Saudis simply cannot allow Iran to control any portion of Yemen, even through proxies. Hadi not my favorite, but looks as if goal is to return him to power.
Egypt has a very good military, I wonder how good the Saudis are - they should have the best equipment, though. I hope that they can hang on to it!
I'm kind of hoping to see Riyadh burnt to the ground.
-Tank located in Mualla main street shooting civilians-
I’ll be waiting for the international outrage of collateral damage/purposely targeting the non-military.
And the obligatory ‘women, children, and minorities hurt most’.
Egypt and the Saudis both have well trained Abrams tank brigades that could make quick work of this.
Anybody notice these shiite “rebels” are taking a page from the Vietcong and every other Asian communist coup? Slash and burn, civilian terror it’s a page from Mao’s SOP.
I have seen the headline tweets on the situation, but they all speak of foreigners getting out of Aden. Some foreign troops were sighted there. They were probably there to evacuate people.
I heard a story that the Saudis promised Obama they would come into to get the Houthis to a negotiating table, not to crush them. That sounds like Vietnam to me, a no-win war.
Ya think those in Yemen or anywhere in Ustinkistan give a rat’s azz about widespread government corruption and lawless wide open lawless borders in the U.S?
If youd like to be on or off, please FR mail me.

If they're going to use ground forces, the time has arrived
If you give me a Sunni or a Shiite, Ill take the Shiite any day.
Me too. I don’t give a damn about Saudi Arabia. They’ve exported this satanic crap, let them reap the whirlwind.
