Sorry, but I have to disagree with you. As Jesus hung on the cross, He said, “Father forgive them for they know not what they do.” They never asked Him to forgive them. The same with Stephen, who was the first martyr. He echoed the same words, so, I think you error in your assessment of Christian behavior.
“And IF HE REPENTS you must forgive him.” Mr Jesus Christ.
This miscreant has neither asked for forgiveness nor has he shown any repentance. Therefore forgiveness is neither due nor should it be offered. Your understanding of this point is fundamentally flawed.

It could be argued that Jesus was talking about the Romans, who scourged and crucified him. The gospels are clear that those who turned Jesus over to the Romans did know what they were doing.
