50 Isn’t this where Franklin Graham’s Samaritan’s Purse is headquartered? I would assume they are one of the major employers in the area. Makes this all the more absurd.
I imagine the largest employer in the Boone area is Appalachian State University with 871 academic staff and ~18,000 students.
