For a few days there it appeared that if a resident of Indiana had chosen to refrain from commerce with another person and was sued for discrimination, this resident could have found legal recourse to defend himself against the suit. This legal recourse was made possible by the passage on March 26th of Indianas Religious Freedom and Restoration Act.
Such was the media hysteria and attendant calls for economic sanctions against Indiana, however, that a few days later the RFRA was drastically amended.
During the four days of hysteria, however, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and New York Mayor Bill De Blasio chose to refrain from certain commerce with Indiana--more specifically, they banned their employees from traveling to Indiana on New Yorks state or city tab.
The shuddering fear that compelled Governor Cuomo and Mayor De Blasio to their desperate punitive measures was that the jilted party in any thwarted commercial transaction in Indiana would be a homosexual, who conceivably could have been forced to shop at more than one place for his flowers, cake or pizza.
New York mayor Bill De Blasio boasts that he honeymooned in Stalinist Cuba and calls for the lifting of all commercial sanctions against that homophobic military dictatorship. New York Governor Mario Cuomo also advocates an end to commercial sanctions against Stalinist Cuba and is headed there this month (on New Yorks tab, obviously) to promote his states commerce with the homophobic military dictatorship.
Castros totalitarian dictatorship is the only regime in the history of the Western hemisphere to herd tens of thousands of men and boys into forced labor camps at Soviet bayonet-point for the crime of being gay, genuine or suspected. "Work Will Make Men Out of You" read the sign at the Castroite prison-camps gate, right over the barbed wire and next to the machine gunners posted on the watchtowers. The initials for these camps were UMAP, not GULAG, but the conditions were quite similar.
The rampant tortures, murders and suicides at these forced labor camps for homosexuals operated 90 miles from U.S. shores have been documented extensively. But despite the enormous influence homosexuals wield on so many levels of the U.S. media (see: past four days of hysteria) these Communist horrors have rarely been mentioned and most Americans remain completely unaware of them.
In fact, as recently as 2010 the oldest gay-rights organization in Latin America took the Castro regime (that commercial partner so coveted by De Blasio and Cuomo) to the International Court of justice in The Hague for crimes against humanity. Instead of exposing these horrors, however, U.S. gay groups make a fetish of honoring their perpetrators.
Two years ago, for instance, the Philadelphia-based gay rights group Equality Forum honored Mariela Castro with their prestigious International Ally for LGBT Equality Award.
Mariela Castro is Cuban dictator Raul Castros daughter and a high-ranking apparatchik of the Stalinist regime. For another instance, a year earlier The National Gay & Lesbian Task Force honored Mariela Castro as theyre keynote speaker at a Conference in New York.
Not that gays were the only people tortured in the forced labor camps created by the regime idolized by U.S. gay groups. Also jailed and tortured en masse by the regime idolized by so many rock stars were rock and roll fans.
The Stalinist regime denounced and persecuted these youths branding them delinquents! and roqueros! Tens of thousands of Cuban men and boys were herded into forced labor camps for the crime of fluttering their eyelashes, flapping their hands, wearing tight pants, talking with a lisp, listening to rock music, etc. Indeed, the regime hailed by rockers from Carlos Santana to Bonnie Raitt, from Stephen Stills to Chrissie Hynde and from Jackson Browne to Jimmy Buffet coined a new term for criminal activity within its Stalinist realm: Elvispresleyism!
Any gay mannerisms made their punishment all the worse. Those Hollywood and New York stereotypes of bigotry and brutality by backwoods American bigots (and Indianians) against long-haired queers! Dirty hippies! etc. were indulged 90 miles from U.S. shores by the very heroes of those hippies and urban hipsters: Che Guevara and Fidel Castro. The type of violent bigots demonized in the movies Easy Rider, Alices Restaurant, Gimme Shelter, Joe, etc. were ruling Cuba with the very brutality that characterize American hippies worst nightmares—while being idolized by American hippies and hipsters.
Think about that next time you see Carlos Santana or Eric Burdon cheekily flaunting their Che Guevara t-shirts. These thinking persons musicians are actually celebrating the symbol of a regime that made it a criminal offense to listen to music by Carlos Santana and Eric Burdon.
If liberals couldn’t lie, they’d have nothing to say.
Thanks for the find and post.
All liberals lie, they can't help it. It comes natural to them
I raised the Cuban-homosexual issue at the time Obama touted his plan to lift the embargo. I said the entire thing could be squashed by bringing attention to it.
The Indiana story proves it. The faggots in the media are selective in their outrage and it isn’t about “civil rights”. It’s about subverting the West.
Stalinists lie. ALWAYS
They bow to glorious Communism every time.
Time for a new tagline...
Rights are innate, not granted nor given by the government. The courts can fail to recognize them, but rights to use them never cease until they are no longer exercised.
