My husband and I go to open-bar events for museum donors and so on. I’ve never seen the slightest disturbance ... well, an occasional heated discussion about local school politics ... but no violence or vandalism.

Yeah, but there’s a big difference between sipping some wine or beer and having “all you can drink Martini’s” , thats begging for a problem.
