Back in 2002, Bibi came to Congress to urge US to invade Iraq. Too bad we took his advice. The Iraq war ended up making Iran a lot stronger, by replacing Saddam (Iran’s biggest enemy) with a pro-Iran government.
Bibi isn’t infallible, I guess.
Iraq was in good condition when Bush left office.
Hell, it was still in good shape a couple years into Zero’s term until his pull out.
Furthermore, Bibi wasn’t even PM in 2002, and at the time the Israelis were trying to warn us that Iran was a bigger threat than Iraq!
After saddam fell we had iran completely surrounded. Then would have been the time to get nasty.
If you take out Saddam, Saddams regime, I guarantee you that it will have enormous positive reverberations on the region the test and the great opportunity and challenge is not merely to effect the ouster of the regime, but also transform that society and thereby begin too the process of democratizing the Arab world. —Netanyahu, 2002
The same epic-fail thinking that dominated the Bush WH in 2002.
