They may want to check out the crap being spayed globally too.. and regularly.. by orgs doing their own version of engineering above all of our heads.

I have few bees this year, last year , quite a few..

I lost 3 of 6 hives over the winter, and maybe will lose another as it is quite weak. Colony Collapse (CCD) is mostly a non-issue, IMHO, here in MA, and not the cause of my recent losses. Tough winter I guess to have bees in the Northeast.

Nonetheless, I’m of the opinion that neonicatinoids are doing a great deal of harm to honeybees. It messes up ever so slightly there navigation such that field bees get lost and the hive is left with a queen, young and drones - the lack of field workers dooms the hive.

I spent a few days camping in a remote area in the mountains of western NC a couple of summers ago. The honey bees were thick as flies at a picnic.

No pesticides for miles.
