Being that he is “openly gay”, I presume most parents would not without another trusted adult also being present.
Then again, and sadly now days, it’s pretty much expected and in some cases required that adults should never be left alone with children in such situations – Scout camping trips for example.
I would also point out that not all pedophiles are “openly gay” - Jerry Sandusky being just one example. He was a married man and had children (although all were adopted), presumably he was a regular church goer, a “fine” upstanding citizen in outward appearances, never to my knowledge went to any gay leather bars, marched in any gay pride parades or had hook ups with adult gay men.
Just saying.
The Boy Scouts already require 2 deep leadership. No one adult can be with any one child or group of children without another trained adult present.
That being said, what is to prevent two Homosexuals to ‘team up’?
Really the scouts did this to themselves. They had the law suit and won. Now they have caved on openly gay scouts and they will be forced to cave on gay scout leaders.
