So in the UK you can now be charged with a hate crime just for telling the truth, e.g., eight of nine of the men arrested in the child sex ring WERE of Pakistani origin.
In the US, it's hard to get a libel conviction even when the person is lying. Public figures, especially, are almost totally fair game. (Not that our situation doesn't present problems of its own; the fact that you can pretty much get away with saying ANYTHING probably HAS coarsened our public discourse.)

Its one idiot politician, the police imo wont do a thing as she didn’t say anything that wasn’t true. Had she accused innocent men, she’d be in trouble, but she didn’t. The UK police now sadly get this type of nonsense daily from ‘offended social media types’. And ignore most of it.
