I went to their site once expecting to see a list of plumbers. Then I found out I had to pay to see their list. How dumb do they think I am? (Very dumb, apparently) No way I’m paying them to keep a list.

I've actually had nothing but success using Angie's List and employed many handy men, yard services, etc. as every other site allowed the companies to "advertise" on their site rather than the type that Angie's List used where we, the customer, nominated a specific company based on the quality, price and satisfaction of customers - only.

I have ended my membership with them, since they "came out" as hating Christians and our faith-based desire to honor our faith and behave as The Lord has told us to do, and let them know of my reasoning for ending my membership.

I didn't know that I was given 110% of my membership based on my dissatisfaction with their service and I'm certain that my reason for ending my relationship with them will not qualify me for their 110% "satisfaction guarantee" however.

Dittos as Rushbo would say. I had the same reaction a few years ago.

Now that the fecal matter is hitting the fan, will we find out that many of their recommendations paid to get recommended?

Why should I pay for something that I can go to my local hardware store and find out? Most every town has at least one hardware store and they know everybody and everything when it comes to plumbers, painters etc. Can catch up on the local gossip too.
