David Limbaugh appears to have gone off the deep end here. The RFRA is nothing more than the combination of the 1st and 14th amendments applied to religious people.

“Free Exercise” + “cannot be deprived of liberty without due process of law.”

If one of my liberties is “free exercise”, then I cannot be deprived of it without due process of law.

Saying that Billy Graham should have his day in court before you can force him to conduct a homosexual coupling ceremony seems to me to be a no-brainer.

Because discrimination based on sexual orientation is not prohibited by the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Indiana and all other states are free to prohibit it or to look the other way in the face of it. But they are not free to encourage it or to make it lawful. Huh?

Free to prohibit it?

Not free to encourage it or make it lawful?

Did someone steal David Limbaugh's brain?

Lost in the shuffle is the First Amendment guarantee of freedom of religion. Madison did not foresee a day when government agencies and the courts would restrict the right to follow one's conscience, not Congress.

The early Christians suffered death rather than offer incense to the pagan gods. Judge Napolitano would have had no sympathy for their obstinacy. Celebrating gay rights is now part of the state religion and dissenters have no rights.
