Everyone should take note, because THIS is how you respond to the radical left screaming about Indianas RFRA law. Not only does he defend Mike Pence on HuffPost Live, he calls the opposition a lynch mob and wont back down when challenged. He also hits back at the louder voices condemning the law over their selective moral outrage and blatant hypocrisy:
Go ahead, become a homosexual, just don’t tell us about it.
The good Newt kicking ass.
I, too, always respected and appreciated Newt’s ability to cut to the chase and make words sing!
This is the only kind of language that should be used against these tyrants, if we actually want to combat this totalitarianism, and not play tiddly winks with these fascists.
bttt
Oh, me too!
Thank you for speaking to the point being missed most everywhere else.
If you engage in For Profit commerce with the general public, you have obligations to the general public interest.
If the general public belches up some single individual that wants to harass you by force and cause you to have to participate at or in an event or “ceremony” that is forbidden by your religion, you simply have a right to protest in court on religious protection grounds, should the belchee individual make a legal fuss against you.
Denying services in or at your establishment isn’t going to cut it, just because we are have alternate views on morals and politics. Nope, that won’t cut it.
Selective outrage from the Left.
Did I say that? I don’t think I did.
But if you show me in the Scripture where Jesus encourages us not to do business with sinners, I will concede the point.
Okay ... if you didn’t say that ... that’s perfectly fine with me. I’ll just boil it down to a very simple equation ...
The idea is REAL SIMPLE to me ... if Christian owner says that he wont serve someone because of his deeply-held religious beliefs being violated ... THEN ... the government should stay out of it and the courts should stay out of it, and leave him alone. Its his business.
If we have to pass laws to enforce that freedom for Christian business owners, then DO IT!
I’ll make it simple - again.
When you show me in the Scripture where Christ says to avoid sinners, then I will concede that those are deeply held Christian beliefs.
Of course, that would put every Christian out of business; unless you can show me where He said homosexuals are bigger sinners than any other - (keep in mind that Paul claimed to be chief of sinners).
If I were an attorney and you owned a business - I could use the Bible to destroy you in court.
