The camel gets loaded up a little at a time ... and then ... there’s “the straw that broke the camel’s back”!
That’s the way it works with people ... they “tolerate for a while”, until they can take it no more (usually “the straw”) and then things “snap back” to the beginning where all the violations occurred!
So, according to you, Christians were having their consciences violated daily, for decades on end, and just endured it silently without even making a single public complaint?
Sorry, that’s not really a tenable argument. Christians are not so timid that they do not voice objections when people try to force us to act against our beliefs.
