What is appropriate.....kippa or yarmulke?
When I worked in Israel and on 47th
I heard kippa used much more....It’s Hebrew right....
The Lubavitcher said yarmulke....the Satmar too
What a strange divergence of language
I like kippa better....flows better
Either work well. It’s all good.
You speak of linguistic oddities.
Here is one to ponder.
Now I have no idea if there is a difference in the Arabic spelling...
But the word for a Moslem’s brimless cap...
~and~
the word for a lie told to an Infidel...
are homophones = “Taqiyah.”
So I guess you could say that lying is “on their minds” all the time.
