Damage to public safety by following the plain wording of the 2AMD is a situation that is proven to be the opposite of what is claimed. And the 2AMD is absolute even if Public Safety is “compromised.” Trading liberty for safety and security is a fool’s errand, after all because the result of the trade is, as wiser men than those at the Tribune understood, that neither condition remains after the trade.

Public safety is exactly why there is a 2A...it is for the safety of being free from an over bearing ruler, or ruling class or behemoth central government. Interesting now the federal monster is “practicing” for repelling against domestic terrorist groups by ferry around troops and other armed agents into the southwest and other southern states to practice repelling uprisings of some sort. Seems to me if they were concerned about rallying against an invasion, the coasts and borders would be prime areas of concern unless they are expecting some foreign power to fire missile loaded brigades into the interior of the country. No, this is nothing more than oppression. It is also what happens when a government overloads itself with “internal security forces” and there has not been a need for them. Now we deploy them to quell any thought of objecting to the Washington oligarchs.

(The insurrection laws perpetuate what we have for a government now.)
