I wonder if the guy is just completely stupid (or a real traitor) to have defected to the taliban? Did he learn his lesson after being tortured for 5 years?
Maybe (if not a traitor and just stupid) he can take ‘lessons learned’ into the high schools and colleges (like drunk drivers or former adicts) and educate the kids on what it’s really like to volunteer for the taliban or Isis.
That is if he has truly ‘seen the light’.
You assume he was tortured. We have that only on his word. Could there be other reasons for coming back to the USA?
