Keeping a mindful eye on the refusals to do business in the state...

"Look, if you have to go back two decades to try to justify something that you're doing today, it may raise some question about the wisdom of what you're doing," Earnest said.

Like how the President had to go back some CENTURIES to the Crusades justify what his jihadist brethren are doing today, right?

"Refusing service" is a misnomer. . .it conjours up images of black Americans being refused service at the lunchcounter. This is not what is happening here. No one is suggesting that if you own a gas station or a grocery store, you can "refuse service" because you suspect someone practices homosexuality. Individuals who practice homosexuality are still endowed with individual rights.

However, the government cannot FORCE someone to enter into a contract, with another, that promotes a behavior that is against one's religious beliefs. This is the issue. The government should not force me to enter into a contract to provide services (bake a cake -wedding photos, etc) that directly celebrates and promotes homosexual behavior. . however, if a practicing homosexual wants to enter my bakery to purchase a cupcake, there is no reason to refuse service. He buys the cupcake as a citizen and an individual endowed with rights. . .not as a "homosexual."

The question is this: do we have the right and freedom to deem a behavior "sinful" and then, eschew it?

I hope this ends up like Chik-Fil-A. As usual, this is just about pushing an agenda. A reasonable person would just go somewhere else to purchase, say, a cake.
