Amazing.
I got sent home from school in about 1965 because my hair touched my collar, in violation of the rules. Dad took me out and had the barber give me a “Butch”. The two inches or so above my ears was done with a straight razor.
How times change.
But they wont dare suspend a black student for any reason, why is that? sarc
I’ve never worn that haircut, but it’s none of the school’s damned business. Who would have thought this would happen in Tennessee.
Otherwise, another reason to homeschool, obviously.
Hey kid, would you like to paint an American Flag on the top of your head where the hair used to be, and then go back to school that way?
Ask your parents, and I’ll gladly donate the red, white and blue markers, or whatever else is needed to give you a temporary high and tight headtop temporary tattoo of old glory!
That would be my suggestion as an act of protest and civil disobedience against the deranged, petty tyrant that’s running that school.
Why do people that hate children go into school administration and teaching?
This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)
The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. Metmom holds both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail Metmom if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.
In my day, we used to get bounced from school if our hair was too LONG.
If I had access to the Internet back then, I'd be all over Twitter about it.
Yet another reason to abolish government schools ...
That principal needs his ass kicked.
