They shut down our rare earth mines here so China was the only supplier. China refused to sell to Japan for some political reason, which threatened Japan’s manufacturing. Fortunately, now U.S. is opening one of their mines back up. Our mines would not have closed in the first place if there weren’t so many environmental regulations, union labor demands and high fees and taxes.
America is finding out the hard way about foreign entanglements. This chaotic mess is just very beginning.
On a really small scale, try to imagine what would occur if you directly involved yourself in all your neighbor’s business and personal affairs. Eventually you’d be totally surrounded by people who wanted to kill you.
