The European Union is assessing new ways to push Israel back to the peace negotiating table with the Palestinians for a deal based on a two-state solution, working in tandem with the United States, EU officials say.

The EU is exploring new diplomatic terrain and could consider ways to discourage Europeans from buying products from Israeli settlements it believes are illegal.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s election rhetoric has fueled doubts about Israel’s commitment to a two-state solution—a cornerstone of EU and U.S. policies for ending the Middle East conflict.

“We will not forget or ignore what was being said during the campaign and in particular some of the incendiary statements by Prime Minister Netanyahu,” German EU lawmaker Reinhard Buetikofer told The Associated Press.

The Europeans are aware that the rhetoric could remain at fever pitch for the next month as the Israeli leader negotiates a new coalition government and they are reluctant to move too far too fast. …

Well, if the 5 + 1 negotiators approve Obama’s deal with Iran, they might not need to negotiate anything. It will all be uninhabitable for 10,000 years for Israel, the Pali terrorists, Iran and sundry others.

What of the EU’s own illegal buildings in Israel, I wonder? They wouldn’t want those destroyed, would they, i.e. whatever ones that the Israeli police don’t demolish?

How come when Netanyahu says there won’t be a two state solution the world goes nuts but when Iran says it will nuke America and Israel the second they get a bomb is considered speaking to their base?

Coax ‘em back to the “Peace Talk”??

It is very, very simple, and I will type very slowly so the EU can understand, all the “Palestinians” have to do is publicly affirm Israel’s right to exist, and poof, the peace process can continue!

See how hard that is?

Ahh, yes, the Israeli's regularly make unprovoked attacks on civilian targets and randomly fire rockets into occupied territories.

Israel should just respond with ‘We recognize the Gaza Strip as being part of Egypt, and the West Bank as being part of Jordan, and starting tomorrow will not recognize the travel documents issued by any non-government authority. We will hold Egypt and Jordan responsible for any military incursions from their soil.

We will always forget our Crematoria and the millions raped and slaughtered for Germany by Germans,
but will not forget others words ...”
