Worth a try. The issue, as always, comes down to money - in this case federal funding of the states.
The fight for freedom isn’t just some kind of sentimental mush. Real blood was spilled and real lives were lost when we decided to nullify unjust English law for the sake of living free lives. Freedom is still as valuable as it ever was.
So the financial dependency versus freedom from unjust laws is as relevant today as it was 250 years ago.

Nullification has its proponents, I just don’t happen to be one. If things in a state have eroded to the point where widespread nullification is achievable, then you’re already at the threshold of secession. I hope things never devolve to that point.
