Can’t rule out crew incapacitation due to fire or rapid depressurization
Yup.
Francois Hollande tells reporters it will be several hours before rescue teams can reach the crash site.
I think Shep just said something very troubling.
A steep and controlled decent.
Cabin Decompression?, dropped below 10,000’
Oh please.
Not every crash is Moslem. Watch Air Disasters sometime.
This doesn’t even have any of the MO of Moslem.
“We know it was in an area where access is extremely difficult and that the search will be complicated,” the Spanish King said.

Editor’s note: Airline Germanwings to hold a press briefing in Cologne at 2pm GMT; we also expect a statement from Chancellor Angela Merkel but no time has been given for that - David
French President Francois Hollande said the 150 people on the flight included Germans, Spaniards and “probably” Turks.

SKY News: Aviation journalist Anthony Davis says the Airbus A320’s rate of descent was “unprecedented”, suggesting a “catastrophic” event of some kind.
A steep and controlled decent?
a steep, uncontrolled descent...
Which do you really think he said, taking into account that he is just a newsreader...
AFP: Difficult terrain - “Land access is horrible,” Francoise Pie, a resident of nearby Seyne-les-Alpes, told AFP’s Isabel Malsang.
“I know the Estrop mountain range. It is very high mountain. It is very steep and it is terrible to access during the winter other than by air.
“I wonder if he diverted the plane so as not to crash in the valley, where people live,” Pie said.

Thankfully, I have satellite radio. They have a channel POTUS (Politics of the US) and well as CSPAN radio and both are covering other than the crash. There's a Patriot channel as well that carries Hannity and Levin. I just assume CNN is doing what they always do - as in the Malaysian crash. What was that, three weeks wall to wall?
steep, fairly controlled descent
Pretty much, but in breaking news events, CNN is most often the best source for the who, what, when in the early going. Fox simply does not have the boots(reporters) on the ground.
As an aside, I will also say that a descent that ends with a crash is known as CFIT, or controlled flight into terrain. An unprecedented rate of descent does not indicate controlled flight into terrain. Neither does the distress call.
This talk of a steep and controlled descent is obviously a mishearing of bad enunciation.
In whose lexicon? LOL!
