...a half black Kenyan running a hard-left, pro-big government, Muslim-themed campaign for the White House.

Nope. No bias there.

“...Internal Revenue Service, sealing the border, or “repealing every word of Obamacare.”

The IRS can barely even function today per their own complaints. It’s so burdensome that switching to a flat system and starting over again on the creation of tax law is actually EASIER than what we are dealing with this tax season.

The border? The border used to be far better controlled, if you go back just a few decades. What have done in my lifetime is the aberration, not the norm.

Repealing Obamacare? That would simplify everything. Insurance companies and consumers both would be ecstatic. If it all disappeared tomorrow, no one would care except for left wing political organizers and mainstream media outlets. The effect on any average citizen would be a net positive. You’d have to sift through millions of people to find enough to fit on one hand that would be actually damaged by it going away.

So yeah, the NYT can just pound sand on that one.

Liberal policies historically could be lived with. And if a program was bad enough the theory was that we could get rid of it and either try something else or do nothing. But our country hasn’t worked that way in a long time. It’s been about changing the form of government, not merely arguing about politics and policy.

I would LOVE to see the media wring their hands, whine, and cry for years. I hate everything they represent... they're tedious, hollow, boring, hateful, smug, and ignorant.

Go Cruz!

Of course if you know Mr. Cruz, or are familiar with how government is supposed to work, or with reality in general, you’ll find some of his imaginaries problematic, like abolishing the Internal Revenue Service, sealing the border, or “repealing every word of Obamacare.”

How are these problematic in any way? Simplified tax code: more money saved, more economic benefit, more tax money coming in. And it's not like the IRS peeps will be out of a job, they'll just be living in El Paso instead of DC.

“Imagine a federal government that works to defend the sanctity of human life and to uphold the sacrament of marriage,” he said. But Mr. Cruz says he is a champion of personal liberty, too, and gay couples who love each other are demanding their liberty to marry, just not in a way he finds acceptable. No data supports Mr. Cruz’s claim that health-insurance premiums are “skyrocketing” under Obamacare. Immigrants, legal and otherwise, are building this country, and efforts to vacuum-seal the border by troops and fences alone will continue to fail, and the country will suffer from its entrenched hostility to its immigrant population, no matter what Mr. Cruz says.

The government has no role in marriage anyway, and Constitutionally at the federal level. Get rid of marriage tax benefits, and watch the gay marriage push dry up in a day.
Actually, there are plenty of people who report premiums rising, mainly those on the Obamacare roster. Private companies that already had plans that happened to cover everything OCare required haven't risen much, and I'm sure that's where their data comes from. Mine only went up 3% this year.
No one has any problem with legal immigrants (though we should look closely at where and how many we let in), it's the illegals that would be affected by sealing the border and moving the IRS down there.

The more they scream and cry, the more I want Cruz. I like both him and Walker, and I would vote for either. Give me Walker-Cruz or Cruz-Walker, and they become a broken-glass ticket, as in what I would crawl over to vote for them. They both have fight in them, and we need fight to combat the leftist assaults.

I met Ted over a friend’s house in Houston while he ran in the Senate runoff. He was gentle and caring as he had his kids with him.

Excellent man, full of honor.

Watch the razor blades come out for him, especially by Obama thugs.

The only thing that’s “weird” is that these people are still in business.

"But weird is the essence of Mr. Cruz"

Just the other day someone on this site was claiming that the media are propping-up Cruz, giving him an easy time. I questioned what planet that person has been living on for the past year, but he doubled-down.

The nation survived well over 200 years without Obamacare, a majority of the public are suspicious of the IRS, and a majority of the public thinks the borders should be controlled. But for the poofters at the NYT, all this is "weird" and extreme.

Progressives think that simple Voter ID laws present an unconstitutional burden on citizens, but they are always defending a highly-complex tax code, many provisions of which are only decipherable by accountants and tax experts, and which we must comply with under threat of fine or imprisonment. Weird.

When Democrats use words like “imagine,” the press goes along and tells us how inspiring the message is. But when a Republican uses that word, it becomes an occasion for mockery. The press is largely comprised of bullies.
