Here is a pic of the hieroglyphs in question. It may be possible that they were made by ancient Egyptian explorers. However, Egypt never conquered or colonized the area and it was never part of their empire. If this guy wants to argue for "legal rights" based on land holdings by the ancient Egyptians (who have no relation to modern Egyptians), then he should be arguing that lands in Syria and Sudan be returned to Egypt, since these were actually part of the Ancient Egyptian empire....

Any Egyptologist who has looked at them just laughs. They mix symbols that are thousands of years apart and are basically gibberish.
