We just cannot win with people.

If we don’t try to get candidates to address where they are weak before the field gets thin, idiots will criticize us for not bringing it up sooner. Why didn’t you mention it earlier, its too late now.

If we bring it up early we’re single issue voters, and it’s our fault we get McCains.

If we never bring it up until after they’re elected then it’s “you knew what you were getting, he said it all along”.

Jeezum Crow. Can’t efffing win. We’re trying to make good candidates better by alerting them to the fact that hey, something is not right in your candidacy and fix it early and right now when you’ve got a lot of momentum and friends and those who wish you’re going to be even better to vote for.

Dammit.

Hear, hear!

As for seeking perfection and single-issue voters -- I've never come across a perfectionist. I have come across many who accuse others of being perfectionists.

And for crying out loud, it isn't rocket science!

We have a conservative whose whole approach is to reduce government. When asked if he's for continuing ethanol subsidies, he says flat out, "No." When asked about Obamacare, he says, "Repeal it." When it comes to environmentalism as a means to govern, he says, "No." With this candidate, it's not issues, it's APPROACH. He stands by Israel. He stands by Americans, has confidence enough that we Americans are worthy enough to be better off WITHOUT all this government oversight. He has a limited government Christian approach.

He is on offense. He's not about issues, he's about APPROACH. His approach informs you as to his probable stance on the issue.

Without going into details, sorry folks, but Walker is about issues. Making the gratifying call that folks who receive welfare should be drug-tested ... but ... isn't that just more cowbell? I have a hunch Cruz would say, "End welfare and let good Americans handle the moral duty of charity, instead of government." Or at least he'd head in that direction immediately.

And don't you just love all the calls for "us" to "unite behind a single candidate." Okay -- Cruz has been on the radar for quite awhile. HE'S ENTERED. As far as I'm concerned, as a Cruz or Lose supporter, all other Republicans, particularly Republican "conservatives" competing for Cruz's vote, are spoilers.

They're primaries, for crying out loud!!! They're not about Democrats, or who the Democrat nominee is going to be, or any of that!! They're about the Republican party nominating the right candidate. THAT'S ALL. Now, right now, is the time for "us" to unite. Otherwise, Walker's just a spoiler.

:^)
