Not legally, if I recall correctly. As outline on the donation page (pretty standard text), when you donate you must certify that it is your own personal funds and that you are a US citizen or legal resident. You may directly donate to a candidate up to $2,700 during the primary and $2,700 more during the general election. Bigger amounts need to go to/through other routes.

If you are looking for anonymity, past FEC reports and most tracking Web sites do not report individual donations under $250. Once you donate more than $250, it becomes more public.

I make no secret of my donation.

The anonymous donation law is talked about here:

http://www.fec.gov/pages/brochures/citizens.shtml

“$100 in currency (cash) to any political committee. (Anonymous cash contributions may not exceed $50.”

“X” $ from myself
“X” $ from my wife
“X” $ from my friend (my dog’s “formal” name).....
etc., etc.

Is that loop hole plugged?

Oh wait, I forgot all my parents and grand parents and their parents, etc.
