BTW, did you know that George Washington had zero experience prior to becoming president?
Being a statesman is about character, not experience. Experience turns one into a politician, and one with very great left-wing tendencies. Sometimes “experience” must be unlearned.
Actually, George Washington was a member of the House of Burgesses for years, then as Commander in Chief he had to deal with Congress, so in reality he had plenty of good experience. Plus, as you state, being a statesman is about character, which George had in spades.

Well said.
