Well....I was just going to ignore the comment from the earlier misinformed poster, but you chimed in in as well, so let's make my view clear.
I am from Georgia and voted for Herman Cain against the RINO Johnny Isakson when he ran for the Senate and I have been supporting Newt Gingrich since 1994 (I knew him when he was a professor at my alma mater, West Georgia College) and hoped he would one day run for President.
I was so excited to see the nomination within his grasp after SC last time, only to see him (as well as every other conservative) kill themselves with the circular firing squad until the loser, Romney was the last man standing. It also happened in 2008 and 2000.
I love Ted but do not think he has a chance. All the talk (OUR talk, to be frank) about how Obama was a mistake because he was too young and an inexperienced one-time Senator will come back to haunt us and be thrown back into our faces.
The Rovian idea of dividing conservatives and thus electing RINOs holds merit because he has succeeded threes time running.
I don't want it to be four.
So quit trying to taint concerned conservatives as myself (whose bona fides goes back to 1999 here at FR) and point your guns at the enemy...the Democrats.
OK?
Gingrich? Sorry, not a conservative.
