By the standards of her profession, Emily Miller has no business calling herself a journalist," Ladd Everitt, communications director of the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence, said in a statement. "Millers crusade against popular gun laws has been a professional one since the beginning. At this point, area residents can have no reasonable expectation that she will provide objective, impartial coverage on matters of concern to them. If Miller wishes to behave like a pundit and activist, then WTTG should replace her with an actual reporter.

Yeppers, only if she wanted to take everyone’s gun away would her reporting be considered “in the middle”.
Some of the comments in the article are proof that liberalism is a mental disorder.
Emily Miller. Very easy on the eyes. Dems all fell off the ugly tree. Very upsetting to them.
Really bad writer — should never be given a blogging license when Net Neutrality kicks in.
“area residents can have no reasonable expectation that she will provide objective, impartial coverage on matters of concern to them.”
By those standards 80% of “journalists” would be out of work.
They’re right! If you’re not a whore, and a tyranny-sucking fascist with a sub-75 IQ, calling yourself a “urinalist” is really misleading.
Exactly! Good work Emily. When you're taking flak, you're directly over the target.
In other news today:
Ted Kennedy is leading a group, in Hell, requesting ice!
Typical leftist ploy. When you cannot win on the facts, censor and intimidate.
Awards
Miller is the 2012 winner of the Clark Mollenhoff Award. The award is presented each year by the Institute on Political Journalism to honor the work of a newspaper or magazine story that conforms both to the definition of investigative reporting as originally defined by Investigative Reporters and Editors (IRE) and to the professional standards articulated by Clark Mollenhoff in his critiques of the craft of journalism.
Education
A Baltimore native, Miller graduated cum laude from Georgetown Universitys School of Foreign Service.

Easy way to fire here - BUY FOX NEWS, or get yourself in a high position there where you can fire her.
Otherwise, TOUGH CRAP. We’ve been dealing with this garbage from the left NON-STOP - like having Steffy running This Week.
I can remember reading a number of years back somebody at a well known news outlet simply wanted to take the NRA firearms/hunter safety course that was required in his jurisdiction before being able to legally acquire a firearm. He simply wanted that sort of hands on experience/perspective on the issue but apparently his supervisor told him, no way you do this as this was considered to be sleeping with the enemy.
Could somebody help clarify this? Really sums up the insane asylum that is the media world.
OK. Now every journalist who pushes the 1st amendment has an agenda and can’t be unbiased. Fire them.
Wackos like Ladd Everitt would go for that.

Which popular gun laws would those be?
The ones that the Supreme Court found to be unconstitutional?
“By those standards 80% of journalists would be out of work.”
I think your percentage is seriously low. I’d put it up around 95% for openers. It’s probably nearly 100% in my estimation.” What passes for “reporting,” is in reality, “demented opinion.”
