Starting off her interview with newly reelected Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday, NBC chief foreign affairs correspondent Andrea Mitchell acknowledged his win then told him how bad it was: "Prime Minister, congratulations on your victory. But there's always a but critics and analysts here and around the world are saying, 'At what cost?' Your hard turn right on the Palestinian issue, what you said about the Arab voters coming out in droves, they say, are costing you, costing you support around the world."
Netanyahu pushed back on her assertions: "Well, neither one is the premises in your questions are wrong. I haven't changed my policy....What has changed is the reality. Abu Mazen, the Palestinian leader, refuses to recognize the Jewish state, he's made a pact with Hamas that calls for destruction of the Jewish state."
Moments later, Mitchell cited a series of liberal pundits bashing the Israeli leader:
Words have meaning. Tom Friedman wrote today, "They must have been doing high fives in Tehran when they saw how low Bibi sank to win. What better way to isolate Israel globally and deflect attention from Iran's behavior?" Joe Klein in Time magazine called it "bigotry." Jeffrey Goldberg said that it would be "calamitous," the way you talked about Arab voters and they way you talked about not going for a Palestinian state.
Netanyahu dismissed the nasty the accusations: "First of all, I'm very proud to be the prime minister of all of Israel's citizens, Arabs and Jews alike." Mitchell interrupted: "That's not the way it sounded on election day." Netanyahu continued: "Well, if you hear what I said you might reconsider what you just said and what you quoted."

Andrea Mitchell a meshuguna JINO. Reminds me of Natalie Jastrow of The Winds of War series in 1983.
Ouch !
Douche
Netanyahu maintains the same position hes ALWAYS HAD with negotiating with the PA for forming a Palestinian State. As I suspected and have known from before, Netanyahus position on that is reasonable and fair ... and HAS NOT CHANGED!
And on the issue of ARABS In Israel, he made clear what his position HAS ALWAYS BEEN with Israeli Arab Citizens ... they have full rights of any citizen and they will be helped by various social programs as he has always done, and they will NOT be discriminated against. They are FULLY INTEGRATED into Israeli society!
BOTH of those things sounds EXACTLY like the Netanyahu from before and extremely fair. Israel should be EXTREMELY PROUD of Netanyahu as their Prime Minister!
Prime Minister Netanayahu gets SLAMMED by the Left and the New York Times ... AND ... and he gets SLAMMED by the Right and the Israeli papers ... LOL ...
AGAIN ... Netanyahus position on being very willing to negotiate with the PA and very willing in forming a Palestinian State has remained the SAME for years ... as he pointed out from his Bar-Ilan speech.
Netanyahu has never been the holdup on forming the Palestinian State, it has been the Palestinian Authority who has been the holdup. They dont want to get the Palestinian State through negotiations with Israel, but they want to get it from it being imposed from the outside without any conditions attached,
Netanyahu Flip Flop: I Want a Two-State Solution [Israel]

Days after vowing not to establish a Palestinian state, Netanyahu says something else in his first post-election interview.
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has retracted his pre-election statements, according to which he would not allow a Palestinian state to be established.
I dont want a one-state solution. I want a sustainable, peaceful two-state solution, Netanyahu said Thursday in an interview with MSNBCs Andrea Mitchell. I havent changed my policy.
Netanyahu said his earlier comments were a reflection of changing conditions on the Palestinian side, pointing to Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbass pact to form a unity government with Hamas, which Israel, the U.S. and most European countries consider a terrorist organization.
Im talking about what is achievable and what is not achievable, Netanyahu said Thursday, insisting that he would support a demilitarized Palestinian state under a plan that would ensure Israels security.
Can’t check at work— is that youtubed?
The Lawless Won’s treatment of Israel will cost the U.S. As in it’s destruction.
Why on Earth would he let this nasty, lying bitch interview him? What possible positive outcome did he even remotely imagine he could achieve with her?
A brain transplant, talk to the Italians, they are working on something similar...
That's how you deal with liberals. Go on the offensive and push back hard on everything they say. Call them out on their lies, false assertions and their fabricated straw man arguments. Never get sucked into playing defense with a liberal. Stay on the attack.
Don't know. I'll see if I can find it.
Guess she never thought to say that about Obama, her little demigod.
She was in Jerusalem so Bibi granted her an interview.
Also interviewed with Megan Kelly for FOX by satellite.
My impression of Bibi was he was much more relaxed now that the campaign is behind him.

today, in calls to congressional republican offices, staffers referred to Netanyahu as ‘controversial’
they are allowing the media and the left to set the tone and determine what’s ‘controversial’ and what’s not
Who listens to the crabby elderly Mrs. Greenspan? That she is still beating the drums for the Left shows that it doesn’t have much to choose from.
Andrea Mitchell got run out of France.
The truffle pigs said it was unfair competition.
Sad how nothing has changed in the past 35 years. As Rush said, same bullshit different faces
When she asked for an interview, he should have sent a YouTube video to her through her clintonemail.com account of Pelosi screeching, “Are you serious?! Are you serious?!”
As Dan Akyrod would say, “Andrea, you stupid media slut”.
I might be mistaken as to the date and event in question. It was definitely not 1979 because Koppel didn't start until March of 1980. I remember it being about the Iranian Hostage crises, but I can't find any references to an appearance on Nightline during this period. That doesn't mean it didn't happen, but I did find references to his appearance on Nightline in 1984, so perhaps I've got the date and event wrong.
I remember he was contrasting Israel's methods of dealing with hostage takers and the United State's method of dealing with hostage takers, and all I could think of at the time was that I fully agreed with him that we ought to handle it the way Israel handles it.
In any case, Bibi handed Koppel his @$$.
