I’m old enough to remember Chavez organizing the United Farm Workers and it sure doesn’t make me think of the Occupy movement.

Nor I. There was no gunplay in the Occupy movement as a I recall. However, it was not uncommon in the conflict between Chavez' UFW and the farmers and ranchers.

I speak from personal experience as my client and I were returning from dinner in coastal California when a rifle shot came thru the front windshield and planted itself in the passenger's seat, about 8 inches from my left ear.

It wasn't the irst time he was shot at. Nor the last.

Well, if that’s how it is, then Walker is not the person he represented himself to be. I know a lot of people who are going to be very disappointed.

But, I think it’s interesting that Ted Cruz is not having those problems. He doesn’t change his mind mid-stream on important issues. And .. what’s really important, Cruz is really good at discerning people.

I guess we will just have to let the campaigns proceed a little farther before we can really see who these people are.

Thanks for your input.

That’s plenty spooky. What was the message they were trying to send via bullet?

I have given this great thought.

If mass deportation were tried, a few things will happen:

1. It WILL be compared to the internment of the Japanese during WWII. Media coverage of this will ensure that this happens.
2. It WILL be challenged in court, all the way to the SCOTUS, thus delaying any mass deportation for years or decades. And, we do not know how this will end.
3. There will be massive unrest, protests, ect should any mass deportation be announced.

The only way we can stop this situation is a multifold approach.
1. Secure the border. This means fences, troops, unmanned systems, the whole nine yards.
2. Deport anyone who has committed an offense. This includes those with DUI’s or multiple misdemeanors.
3. Allow those here to stay ho are clean, up to 2 years before this bill passes. But they can not vote, collect welfare or income tax returns, or be hired to any position that an American could do. Yellow cards will be issued and there will be a 20 year wait period before they can apply for a green card. Yellow card holders are also ineligible for drivers licenses, however they can take public transport and come and go. These illegals will also have the option to return home and apply there. Any violation of these rules results in immediate deportation.
Note: Yellow cards will be photo ID’s, but easily distinguishable so they can’t be used to vote.
4. H1B visa reform. Massive fines or imprisonment for abuse of H1B, as seen with Edison in CA. Massive reduction in allowed H1B’s.
5. Only children who has at least one parent with citizenship, or both parents with resident alien status, would be eligible for natural born citizen status. A child of a yellow card holder will have to wait the remaining time of the parent’s yellow card time to get a green card. A child born to a new illegal will be deported with the family and be ineligible for citizenship.
6. No chain migration. Any yellow card or resident alien harboring a newly illegal alien will be deported. Citizens will be subject to a federal felony.
7. Full enforcement of e-verify. If someone knowingly hires anyone without status, they will face asset forfeiture, fines and imprisonment.
8. Any company that hires a yellow card holder will be required to pay into a fund to pay for emergency medical care of yellow card holders. Yellow card holders will also pay into this fund via tax withholdings. These employers will also be required to pay normal payroll taxes for these aliens.
9. Tax any foreign money transfer 10% from yellow card holders.
10. Yellow card holders will be restricted to agricultural, simple construction and certain hospitality trades. They will also be required to undergo a medical exam as part of their processing.
11. Any new illegal, or those who arrived two years before this bill passed, will be subject to immediate deportation.

Note. This can not be done in the current environment without massive welfare reform, election reform, and a cultural shift from multiculturalism to a melting pot philosophy. So those items will have to be tackled at the same time.
Also, hopefully, many if not most of the illegals will self deport when they see how tough it will become. Also, healthcare of any new illegals should be billed to the home government.

I take it that you don’t know that Dwight Eisenhower implemented a mass deportation while he was President. Google “Operation Wetback” and see what you find.

Jeb Bush vs. George Scott Walker Bush.

Republicans are being set up once again for the fall.

You misunderstand me.

I'm one of the guys that one of Chavez' minions took a shot at.

I resent it still.

My apologies, The context of what you wrote threw me off.

My political targeting of Chavez' alinsky methods is to help show others that the Blue Dog Republicans, like Walker, will do anything, say anything to get elected, including endorsing Cesar Chavez, to curry favor with illegal invaders.
