Obama Moves to Keep Hillary's Emails Secret

It’s a curious time for people who believe in transparency and openness in government.

They say they are for transparency. In 2013, President Obama boasted, “This is the most transparent administration in history.” But watch what his administration does.

Today, it will issue new rules exempting a key administrative office that handles issues such as request for access to government email records from the Freedom of Information Act. That law is specifically designed to allow private parties to look at government documents that aren't privileged or involve national security.

Ironically, the nation celebrated FOIA just yesterday with National Freedom of Information Day. By the way, it’s also Sunshine Week in Washington, a celebration of transparency in government of the kind Obama likes to tout.

If I'm Hillary, and I know these a-holes took me down, I release the emails.

In full.

Enough that it becomes obvious(er) that he's a prosecutable traitor and total ally of radical Islam.

If Herself, Madame Benghazi, the Cold & Joyless, is exposed for the fraud she is, then the Current Occupant now squatting in the White Hut is almost equally as exposed.

“If I go down, you’re going down with me!” I can imagine Herself inserting this into any recent confrontations with the Halfrican.

On Benghazi, a timeline of State Department obstruction
February 13, 2015 — The State Department sends the Benghazi committee 850 pages of Hillary Clinton emails, from two different @clintonemail.com accounts.

February 27, 2015 — During a staff meeting, the State Department shocks some on the Benghazi committee by admitting for the first time that the only Clinton emails the Department possesses are those provided by Hillary Clinton herself. Department officials also reveal that Clinton used her secret email system exclusively and did not use a government account. When the committee asks how many emails Clinton has given to State, officials decline to answer.

March 2, 2015 — The email story breaks in the New York Times. The paper reports Clinton provided 55,000 pages of emails to the State Department, which is news to the Benghazi committee.

March 3, 2015 — The Benghazi committee sends "preservation letters" to Clinton and to her email hosting company ordering them to protect, and not to destroy, any records.

They know where it all is.

That is a classic "keeper!"
Consider it stolen.

Even if it IS probably too subtle for Obungo's LIV or NIV constituency.

Good luck with that. If a subpoena comes down, Hillary will hand over the hard drive, but it will probably be as trashed as Vince Foster’s was when she turned that over.

Exactly what you said. I also think that both Hillary and 0bama “have stuff” on each other, enough so that they are trying to do a balancing act of destroying each other, but keeping it subtle enough for plausible deniability.

Maybe she calculated that they wouldn’t out her, considering the risk to themselves. Her backup plan would be to rely on her electorate to forgive her no matter what, as usual.

The fact that Congress didn’t immediately subpoena the server drives - and to date still have not - should tell you everything you need to know.

This is all for show.

More than a cover up, and pray they’re stopped.

Valjar will be the Democratic Candidate.

Then president.

Then payback.

Again, the Executive branch is modifying existing Law (when it’s not creating out of whole cloth).

I recall something about Ex Post Facto....prob. too nuanced for my little brain.

The day after his inauguration, President Obama promised a new era of “openness in government.”

“We will work together to ensure the public trust and establish a system of transparency, public participation, and collaboration,” he wrote in one of his first memos to federal agencies. “Openness will strengthen our democracy and promote efficiency and effectiveness in Government.”
