Has Jeff Sessions attacked his position ? Honestly, most candidates who are not of Washington usually like to talk policy with those individuals who are closest to the issue like Sessions. Cruz was already part of the debate on the hill. Would you rather a potential candidate give a sloppy answer to a reporter over the phone and later contradict himself when he releases something far more detailed after talking with someone like Sessions...et al.
