Chairman of the Central Election Commission Salim Jubran has banned artists from appearing at nationalist rally being held tonight (Sunday) at Rabin Square in Tel Aviv.
In his ruling Justice Jubran said that performances by artists could be perceived as being able to influence undue influence on the electrate, and there for was unacceptable propaganda, in contradiction to Article 8 of the election by-laws.
