Sanders says he has found some regulations, not laws, that can be changed. I don’t believe him but that’s his pitch.

There is a quote attributed to one of the Vanderbilts to the effect of "Law? What do I care about the law? Hain't I got the power?" That sums up Obama's attitude.

Unfortunately few Americans know much about English history. The Patriots of the American Revolution called themselves Whigs after the 17th-century English Whigs who had fought the Stuart kings' absolutist tendencies. The struggle over the right of taxation was central to that--and why the Patriots were so much on guard against Parliament's claim to be able to impose taxes on them.

Most present-day Americans don't seem to care.

Oh, like our federal laws which state it's illegal to enter the country illegally? All while government aids and abets this epic illegal invasion at every turn?
